Different kinds of Pumps for Difficult Operations

Every industry operates through complicated and lengthy processes that involve a lot of applications and equipment. The success of an industry results from the efficiency of the machinery and human resources' effort. As far as the setup and equipment are concerned, an industrial pump is an essential element that keeps the industrial process moving by transferring the industrial media from one place to another.

Different kinds of applications and fluids require different types of pumps. So, these pumps are available in a range of built and designs to transport varied media kinds. An industrial pump can be customized as per the nature of the application and the medium to be transferred. Therefore, some pumps are tougher than others in their built and functioning. Sludge, Wastewater, and Dewatering Pumps are three of such pumps, which are robust in their built as the fluids transferred through them are highly abrasive and viscous.

A Sludge Pump is used to transfer unclean fluids with a high percentage of solid contents. It is very similar to the Wastewater Pump (which is used to transfer wastewater - also abrasive in nature and high on solid waste contents) in its functioning as the nature of the media handled by both these pumps is highly similar, if not wholly same. These pumps are heavy in their built and use a high-powered pumping mechanism to move the liquid. These pumps are Progressive Cavity Pumps. They work through the circulation of rotors to carry the fluids through the cavities. Sludge pumps are widely used in applications catering to mining, steel procession, municipal sewer treatment, power generation, etc. In contrast, Wastewater Pumps are used to transfer wastewater from a lower elevation to a higher elevation place. They are also used to separate the sludge from the water and treat the sludge to generate renewable energy.

A Dewatering Pump is also similar to the Sludge and Wastewater Pump in terms of built and working. However, it differs from both these pumps in terms of its applications as it is used to remove the groundwater from a construction site to facilitate the smooth commencing of the construction process.

Roto Pumps, one of the renowned industrial pump manufacturers and suppliers, provides sturdy and customizable pumps to cater to a wide range of demanding applications.

PUMPS CATERING TO FOODS AND WASTEWASTER INDUSTRIES

Roto Pumps is a leading Industrial Pumps manufacturer that ranks among the top ten Positive Displacement Pump manufacturers and suppliers. Positive Displacement Pumps are known to ensure a uniform flow at constant speed irrespective of the varying counter pressures. A number of pumps fall under the category of Positive Displacement Pumps. One such pumps are the Helical Rotor Pump  that are widely used in a number of applications such as food processing, wastewater handling, transferring slurry and abrasive liquids and agricultural and pharmaceutical applications. These pumps can transfer these varied liquids without causing any degradation in their quality as they are non-shearing in nature. The advanced hydraulic capability of these pumps enables them to create high pressures even at lower speeds. These pumps operate with the help of a helical rotor and a helix rubber stator. The helical rotor moves inside the stator in a circular motion and pushes the liquid through the pump. ...

Industrial Pumps to Handle Applications in Varied Industries

Roto Pumps is one of the leading industrial water pumps manufacturers in India. They manufacture and provide a variety of highly efficient pumps and are counted among the top ten Positive Displacement Pumps manufacturers in the world. The Twin Screw Pump and the Sludge Pump are two of the most reliable Positive Displacement Pumps provided by Roto Pumps. A Twin Screw Pump is widely used to transfer a variety of liquids with different level of viscosities, aggressiveness and lubricities. This feature makes them suitable to be used in a wide range of industries such as paper, sugar, oil & gas, marine and pharma. These pumps are compact in size and are used for applications where space constraint is an issue. They are considered to be highly efficient as there is no metal-to-metal contact during the operations of these pumps. Roto’s Twin Screw Pumps comes in both external and internal bearing configurations. A pair of screws, a timing fear and an electric motor form intrinsic par...
